Dennis Schlesner was named president of Presidential Financial on
May 5, 2016.

Mr. Schlesner's experience working with companies seeking liquidity and flexibility to support growth, acquisition or economic recovery is well respected in the financial industry. With more than 35 years of experience, his background is strong with executive leadership in new business development and portfolio management of asset based lending throughout the United States, serving manufacturing, distribution, wholesale, and retail industries, among others.

After more than three decades in the financial industry, Mr. Schlesner has built an exemplary reputation as a business development and sales leader, marketing manager, and portfolio management executive. He joined Presidential Financial from FirstMerit Bank Business Credit where he was a senior vice president - national marketing manager. He led a 10-member business development team responsible for the marketing and new business development activities throughout the United States. Prior to his four and a half years at FirstMerit, Mr. Schlesner worked for 26 years at Wells Fargo Capital Finance. As a senior vice president, he was responsible for the acquisition and booking of commercial finance transactions through the development and implementation of marketing plans and strategies. He provided sales and marketing direction for a staff of eight business development representatives located in nine states. Prior to his role in new business development, Mr. Schlesner held various management roles in the audit, credit and portfolio management functions at Wells Fargo.

Mr. Schlesner is an active member of the Association for Corporate Growth, Turnaround Management Association and the Commercial Finance Association. He earned his bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Frank PalmieriFrank Palmieri, Senior Vice President, Portfolio Manager

Frank Palmieri has spent over 30 years in the commercial lending industry, primarily in credit and client management roles.  As Portfolio Manager, Frank oversees the entire client portfolio and supervises the staff of account officers and credit managers.  In addition to maintaining and overseeing client relationships, he is also responsible for risk identification and risk mitigation efforts, and participates in the new business process by reviewing credit needs and requirements on prospective new client transactions.

Frank brings extensive credit expertise to Presidential.  After beginning his career at Irving Trust Bank in New York, Frank spent 25 years at Security Pacific Bank and Bank of America where he held several credit and management roles.  Frank joined Presidential Financial in 2005.

Paul KrantzPaul Krantz, Senior Vice President, Business Development Officer

Paul Krantz has been in asset-based lending his entire career in both credit and business development positions. As a business development officer based in Chicago, Paul is responsible for originating, structuring, and funding asset-based financing solutions with commitment amounts from $2 million to $30 million for middle-market businesses. Paul is expanding Presidential's presence in the Midwest market with a calling effort focused in Illinois, Wisconsin, Missouri, Minnesota and Indiana, but he will also follow his referral source to transactions anywhere in the U.S.

Paul has helped businesses finance their growth, turnaround or acquisitions throughout his career, most recently serving more than six years with PNC Business Credit as senior marketing officer before joining PFC. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in accounting from St. Mary's University in Winona, Minnesota, and a Master of Finance from DePaul University.

Paul is a past president of the Association of Corporate Growth's Chicago Chapter and an active member of the Association for Corporate Growth, Turnaround Management Association, and Commercial Finance Association. Paul also has his certified public accountant certificate.

Jason HanesJason Hanes, Senior Vice President, Business Development Officer

Based in Cleveland, Jason Hanes is responsible for originating, structuring, and funding asset-based financing solutions with commitment amounts up to $30 million for middle-market businesses in the Great Lakes regions. Jason's calling efforts will be focused on Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan and upstate New York. Jason has more than 16 years of asset-based lending experience in the field exam, portfolio management, credit underwriting and new business development disciplines.

Jason's career has encompassed many responsibilities, including turnaround management, special situations investment banking and financial due-diligence. He came to Presidential Financial after spending 1 ½ years with Phoenix Management Services. Prior to Phoenix, Jason worked for FirstMerit Bank Business Credit, Wells Fargo Capital Finance and National City Business Credit. He earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Bowling Green State University and a Master of Business Administration from Cleveland State University.

Jason is a Past President of Commercial Finance Association - Ohio Chapter and an active member of the Association for Corporate Growth, Turnaround Management Association, and Commercial Finance Association. He is also an active certified public accountant licensed in the state of Ohio.

Tom MatthesenTom Matthesen, Director

Tom Matthesen provides leadership and strategic direction for the company as director and as former CEO of Presidential Financial. Mr. Matthesen was selected to lead Presidential in 2008 based on his extensive knowledge of the commercial finance industry and his dynamic leadership skills. With a passion for assisting the small and mid-size growth company, he actively engaged in forming strategic partnerships that drove profitability and market value growth for his clients. His turnaround and entrepreneurial management experience provide him a unique vantage point for Presidential clients.

Following his eight years at President Financial, Matthesen became President and Director of THRIVE Farmers, a social enterprise focused on bringing economic sustainability to coffee farmers. He will lead the company in its growth initiatives through the next phases of business and strategy. Formerly, he was CEO of Wall Financial, an asset-based commercial finance company he founded in 2004. He was previously Senior Vice President with GE Capital and Regional President of Heller Financial, and Sun Trust Bank in Atlanta.

He has authored several trade journal articles and wrote a thesis published by the American Bankers Association. Mr. Matthesen holds a BS in Business/Finance from the University of Colorado and a MBA in Business Administration from Georgia State University, where he serves on the Board of Advisors for the J. Mack Robinson College of Business. He is also a graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Finance and Banking (University of Delaware) where he graduated with the top honor of "Distinction." Mr. Matthesen has received his Six Sigma Quality and Executive Leadership certification from GE. 

Randy RoperK. Randy Roper

Randy Roper joined MidFirst Bank in June 2005 and serves as chief credit officer and first executive vice president. He is also a board member for Presidential Financial Corporation.

During his more than 30 years of experience in the banking industry in Oklahoma City, Mr. Roper has served as president for two different financial institutions in the metropolitan area. During his career, he has been named a member of Metro Journal 40 under 40, and was the chairman for the Central Oklahoma Workforce Investment Board.

Making an indelible mark on the community, Mr. Roper is currently on the board for Allied Arts, Greater Oklahoma City YMCA, Leadership OKC, State of Oklahoma Legislative Compensation Board, University of Oklahoma Michael Price Business School and United Way of Central Oklahoma. He is a Past President of Leadership Oklahoma City and the Edmond Public Schools Foundation. Mr. Roper has also served on the boards for the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce and the Metro Prayer Breakfast. He earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Oklahoma and a master's degree from Oklahoma City University.
